1. Catfishing
The phenomenon of internet predators that fabricate online identities and entire social circles to trick people into emotional/romantic relationships (over a long period of time). Possible motivations: revenge, loneliness, curiosity, boredom.

2. Ghosting

3. Breadcrumbing

6. Zombieing

7. DTR
An acronym for ‘define the relationship’. You may have been dating someone for a while and it's now time for that chat to determine what you are and where the relationship is headed.

8. Cuffing season
